My Priorities as Assessor

The work of the Assessor’s office requires careful analysis, strong leadership, and a commitment to fairness. If elected, my focus will be on maintaining a professional, transparent, and well-managed office that serves the people of Eagle County effectively.

My background includes more than twenty-five years leading complex operational and analytical work in the private sector, including many years working with public-sector clients. Those experiences required managing large datasets, overseeing teams of professionals, and ensuring decisions were consistent, defensible, and transparent.

Those same qualities are essential in the Assessor’s office.

The County Assessor’s role is to ensure property valuations are fair, accurate, and applied consistently across the county. If elected, the following priorities will guide my work in the office:

Fairness — ensuring property valuations are applied consistently across the county
Transparency — helping property owners better understand how valuations are determined
Professionalism — supporting the expert staff who carry out the technical work of the office

Fair and Accurate Valuations

Property values must be determined consistently and based on reliable market data. I will prioritize careful analysis and uniform application of valuation standards across all property types.

Transparency in the Valuation Process

Property owners deserve to understand how their property value was determined. I will work to ensure property owners have access to clear information about the data and methodology used to determine their property's assessed value.

Strong Support for Professional Staff

The Assessor’s Office relies on experienced appraisers and analysts who perform complex technical work. My role will be to support those professionals and ensure they have the tools and leadership needed to perform their jobs effectively.

Clear Communication with Property Owners

Questions about property valuation should be answered clearly and respectfully. I will emphasize responsive communication and public education about how the assessment system works.

Responsible Stewardship of Public Resources

The Assessor’s Office must operate efficiently and responsibly. I will focus on strong management practices that support accuracy, accountability, and good service to Eagle County residents.
