Buono Joins the Ranks of Assessors Worldwide
April 1, 2026
Today, I am honored to become a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers, a globally recognized leader in property appraisal standards and professional education. This step reflects my commitment to bringing technical expertise, accountability, and continuous learning to the role of Eagle County Assessor.
IAAO membership connects me with a network of professionals dedicated to fair, accurate, and transparent property valuation. Through this organization, I am gaining deeper knowledge of mass appraisal methodologies, including cost, income, and market approaches, as well as best practices used by assessors across the country.
For me, this is not symbolic—it is practical. Property valuation directly impacts every taxpayer in Eagle County, and it is essential that the process is grounded in sound data, consistent methodology, and clear communication. By engaging with IAAO’s training and resources, I am investing in the skills necessary to ensure valuations are both accurate and understandable.
This is one more step toward delivering an Assessor’s Office that earns public trust through professionalism, transparency, and results.
